Engagement ring trends for 2026
Engagement rings are meant to last a lifetime, so the best trends are the ones that feel personal rather than fleeting. Here is what our clients have asked for most this year.
1. Yellow gold is back
After a decade of white metals, warm 18ct yellow gold is the most requested band colour in our studio. It gives classic diamond designs a softer, vintage-inspired feel.
2. Hidden halos
A row of tiny diamonds set beneath the centre stone, visible only from the side. It adds sparkle from every angle while keeping a clean solitaire look from above.
3. Elongated shapes
Ovals, elongated cushions and emerald cuts make the finger look longer and give more apparent size per carat than a round brilliant.
4. The return of the halo
Classic halos, like our Aurora, are being chosen again for the extra presence they give a modest centre stone, often with a slim, tapered band to keep them refined.
5. Designed-to-stack bands
More couples are choosing engagement and wedding rings together, with curved or contoured bands such as the Ondine that sit flush.
6. Coloured accents
Sapphire side stones and hidden birthstones add personal meaning without stepping too far from tradition.
Our advice
Choose what your partner wears every day: their usual metal colour, how much they use their hands and their style. A design that suits their life will always outlast a trend. Whatever you choose, schedule a setting check every six months. The usgoldapp app will remind you.
